Without volunteers, Animecon could not happen. They are the lifeblood of the community and work tirelessly to make the event run smoothly.

Where and when can I pick up my volunteer pass?
All passes are issued on set-up day(s) from the organisers office together with details and the events schedule.
Are meals and refreshments provided for volunteers?
Yes. Meals, snacks and refreshments will be provided.
How will I know if I'm accepted as a volunteer?
Heads of department at Animecon will contact all applicants they would like to interview for their respective roles. Once you have been interviewed (online) and confirmed, you will need to complete your volunteer form (Background check, DBS check if required and general information about yourself).
My friends and I want to volunteer and work together in the same role, is that possible?
While we cannot guarantee that you will all be accepted into the same role, you can apply to be in the same department and we will endeavour to match you together. You can choose your department preference on your application.
I don’t live in the UK, am I eligible to volunteer?
Of course! If you meet the age requirement, we would love you to volunteer! Please note that we do not provide or help with any travel or accommodation arrangements for our volunteers.
How old do you have to be to volunteer for Animecon?
You must be 18 years old or older by May 1st of the year that you want to volunteer for the show.
